We are having a blast. Finding a lot of great deals,” Wiseman said. "Look at this. This is amazing. And the original tag. $44. It is probably going to be $2, who knows."Goodwill spokesman Michael Flannery said the pricing works as a benefit to the community. "The pricing is by the pound. That doesn't mean you have to buy a pound of shirts. You can buy one shirt. But it is 99 cents per pound,” Flannery saidThe pricing works as follows:By the pound:Glass $.49 Housewares $.89Clothing, toys $.99Purses, accessories $.99By the item:CD/DVD/Records $1Soft Back Books $.25Hard Back Books $.50Shoes $4Representatives said the concept is to offer items that didn't sell in the traditional Goodwill stores.According to district sales manager Vanessa Cornett, merchandise bins will rotate every few hours so that daily shoppers will have the opportunity for fresh finds throughout the day."We have two semis sitting outside right now. Each semi has 10 bins on it. Every hour, we are going to take 10 bins off the floor. And 10 new bins will come in,” Cornett said.Flannery said the outlet gives the community a last shot to help more people."This gives us one more chance to get a little more to the people we are helping. I like it because it shows the respect we have for the donations,” Flannery said. “We are not just tossing out there and going, ‘Oh, OK, we will throw this out.’ These donations are important to us. They were given to use for a reason. Because of the outlet store, it is one more chance to help people with disabilities and homeless veterans.”The new store is at 10596 Springfield Pike in Woodlawn.
