Second overtime, 9:19 remaining: Back and forth we go. Both teams have had chances in the second overtime, but it’s clearly two energy-drained teams out there scraping and clawing for goals. Stars players are running 25-second shifts, per the broadcast.

End of overtime: Stars 1, Avalanche 1

We’ve played 80 minutes and still don’t have a winner. To the second overtime period we go, the Stars looking to end the series with a goal — one that counts.

Overtime, 7:00 remaining: Fakeout.

The Stars briefly thought they had an overtime, series-ending goal by Mason Marchment, but the referees ruled no-goal and called Matt duch*ene for goaltender interference. The call stood after a replay review. No goal.

End of third period: Stars 1, Avalanche 1

To overtime we go.

Perhaps the most intense third period the Stars have played all season saw Dallas get the equalizer from Jamie Benn before the defenses and goalies took over once again.

End of second period: Avalanche 1, Stars 0

The Stars have been shut out through forty minutes. They’ll have to find a way to get a couple past Colorado goalie Alexandar Georgiev, or this series will be headed back to Dallas.
